Great Navy Seal book. You can tell Stephan had learned background angles from his own service experiences. Great main character with internal and external conflict throughout the book. Love the Donkey scene part with Sonny too! You won't be disappointed if you like Navy Seal or spy books!

Character development would have increased the length of the book, but would have added much. If an author intends to use a character's underpinning faith as part of the story, it seems incumbent upon him/her to gain enough understanding to portray that faith accurately, and not superficially. There are great leaps of logic or reality, in which activities or travel take place without any clear idea of how all of it was funded. If you're stranded in Syria and on the run, where do you suddenly come up with the necessary funds to fly somewhere, or obtain a vehicle, etc. Could have been better, but it was also the author's first try. I'd be willing to read #2 to see if the author grows with his characters.

Hands down a great book! The way Mr.Templin shows the emotion felt by the main character is unmatched in any other books I've read. You truly understand the feeling in a mans gut before he is ready to engage an enemy combatant. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I love these as much as Dalton Furys books, if not more.

This scored three stars... just. For me, the writing was too simple. The best way to describe it would be 'lack of gravitas.'

It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good enough to be really gripping. The author seemed to loosen up about half way through and there was some catchy dialog employed thereafter which helped keep me reading. I enjoyed the witty banter he occasionally dropped in, but overall, I couldn't recommend this book. There are just too many writers with more skills occupying this genre, so Mr. Templin really needs to raise his game to compete.

Interesting premise and well developed principal character. However, the survival of the character and his partners under numerous dire circumstances began to strain credulity. He simply could not be hurt, even though he was outgunned on several occasions. Also, I found it really hard to understand why he had to operate solo (essentially) against a sophisticated enemy while in the US. Outside the US, OK. In the US, he should have had a ton of help. The author did not make the case for that very well. In summary, we have an interesting plot, an interesting if somewhat overblown main character, and non-stop life-threatening adventures. Overall, fun but exhausting to read.

I've read every other book this author has published with co-author Howard Wasdin, and I have yet to NOT be entertained. The pace is fast, the detail exact, and Chris Paladin needs to appear in another book real soon. If you're looking for a page turner that hits hard and leaves you staying up all night because you CANNOT put the book down, this is the one. Right up to the end, you're dogging Chris Paladin, ducking shots fired, and ready to shoot the bad guys yourself. The suspense is pitch perfect. LIke I said - pure entertainment.

This book is terrible. The story is about a Rambo-minister who saves the day in the most unreal story. The story has this ex Seal with high religious overtones killing a hundred bad guys in gut renching detail. And, it's very preachy through the book. Don't waste your time

Unique twist of the main character. Here you find a super warrior/pastor (Chris) who with his specialized associate (Sunny) and (Hannah) as an (SOG), Special Operations Group work to thwart a fierce enemy. Engrossing adventure thriller you will enjoy.
Sincerely,
